I've been working with John and Collaborate for many years on the branding and design for the Walter Scott Prizes, a book prize and a creative writing competition. Collaborate have designed logos and branding for us, all the digital and print marketing materials, and they also design the little book of winning stories for publication. John always grasps what we're trying to say and convey really quickly and comes back with great creative solutions, no fuss, no wordy explanations! He also goes the extra mile, writing taglines and copy as well as doing the visuals, which are so good we've ended up using them for years.
