cycling/running/hiking challenge for charity we were welcomed in like old friends by Jo and Dave.
It quickly became apparent that both me and my friend had picked up food poisoning earlier that day and would not be able to cycle the following morning to Scafell Pike. The kindness shown to us by Jo and Dave in looking after us, going to the chemists for us and then offering to drive us and our bikes on a 4 hour round trip to our next hotel in the Lake District that evening so we could continue our challenge has restored my faith in humanity.
Thank you Jo and Dave for welcoming us into your home and the kindness and compassion that you showed us. If only there were more people like you in the world.
