High St Merchants

Our experience at High Street Marchants was extremely disappointing. After finding it on Google Maps and being intrigued by the pictures, we decided to give it a try. However, our visit quickly turned sour. Upon arrival, we had to wait for someone to assist us, which was an inconvenience in itself. The staff member we approached was incredibly rude when we inquired about their dog-friendly policy. To our dismay, we were directed to a dismal setup at the back of the bakery, surrounded by bins, with no access to the front of the restaurant except through a dingy alleyway. (the only place we could stay with the dog) To make matters worse, the staff member did not bother to provide us with a menu or any other information. It was a complete lack of customer service and professionalism. Frustrated by the whole experience, we decided to go elsewhere. Based on our visit, I cannot recommend High Street Merchants to anyone.

We always visit this lovely cafe when we are in Grantown on Spey. This time we had an amazing breakfast before hitting the trails. Simple sourdough with avocado, salmon and cream cheese never tasted so good. The perfect pre bike ride breakfast. Great staff and cosy vibe. We popped back later for espresso and that was fab too. Highly recommend Vegetarian options: Perfect for veggies

Delicious food, tasty drinks and great friendly service. I can't wait until I'm next in the area to eat here again.
