I approached Jackie at Equine Outreach to volunteer after I came across this website. I have developed a passion for making horses accessible to a wider range of people for a while now because I know personally how positively they can impact adults and children alike. They have created such a relaxed, non-judgemental and safe space and it's just wonderful to see and hear of how life -changing coming to the stables has been. I highly recommend it and encourage anyone to get in touch and come and experience the benefits for themselves or their children.

My horse Lil has been a boarder with Jackie and her temperament has improved beyond belief over the years. She is well cared for and is settled and happy. I was at the yard when the idea of starting something that would cater for the requirements of children and adults with special educational needs., providing a place where learning and social interaction could take place and social interaction would be a priority. I was so keen, when the first adults and children arrived, to be involved as I had taught children with physical and learning disabilities for 25 years. Unfortunately as far as being involved was concerned MS caught up with me. So glad that Equine outreach became a reality and it is being so successful in its aims

My daughter has been coming here since November 2021. Most definitely her happy place ! It's helping her so much , a good way to switch off from her anxieties and other mental health issues. Jackie and team have such huge compassion and caring for horses and humans alike, highly recommend !
