The River Gourock

I was in Cafe Cold Brew, below The River. It was dead, only a handful of customers around 19.30hrs.

Very busy. Staff pleasant and helpful. A bit pricey for brunch.

Had lunch today at The River in Gourock. Very disappointed with the whole experience. Firstly was shown to a table at the back while there was an empty table overlooking the river. I asked if the table was reserved but was told they were holding it just in case a large group came in. Eventually they agreed for us to sit there and move if the table was requested. Secondly the food was overpriced and not great quality. My chicken slices had bones in it. Overall very disappointed and Ill not be returning.

Fantastic everything about this place is great the atmosphere, the staff,the coffee definitely recommend this place 100%

The food was good and so were the drinks. No complains about the staff or the food. In our opinion it was no worse or better than any other high street restaurant. Only difference isthey offer a nice selection of wine and cocktails. No waiting time (perhaps when the restaurant is busy you may need to wait a bit before being seated).
