Capaldis Brora Ice Cream

We headed to Brora for hot chocolate and cake at Cocoa Skye which we heard is delicious but it was closed and we opted for ice cream instead.. there was a nice healthy queue for Capaldis so we thought we were in for a treat but I was disappointed by the selection of ice cream which didnt entice me to purchase. The rest of the family all chose a double scoop cone which was quite pricey and they enjoyed their choices but were underwhelmed.. we have a nice cone selection but the ice cream itself lacks flavour.. the rocky road was particularly disappointing bearing no resemblance at all.. I wonder whether its popularity in a small tourist town has led to some complacency.. we wont be returning but its clearly a popular enterprise and hopefully we just came on an off day!

Still famous for superb ice cream and now back in their original premises. I hear they have also opened a place in Brora too.

The best icecream ever. Lovely staff too. Chic little shop in Brora, they need to take over next door and make it sit in. We drive from Dornoch just to vistit. Fabulous!

Have been visiting Capaldi's for years. Still the best ice cream out there. Particularly fond of the Biscoff flavour.
