TJRoss has supplied a number of jobs over several years and we have always been extremely satisfied. We decided therefore to select them in re-modelling our conservatory and replacing the doors and windows. Just to say that we are delighted with every element of product quality and installation. All aspects of service have also been excellent and the work itself quick, efficient and faultless. Small point perhaps, but the tidy-up was first class. We would not hesitate to recommend TJRoss.

I had a bespoke hardwood front door installed by T J Ross in February. I am absolutely delighted with my new front door, both in terms of the build quality and achieving the exact look which I wanted. The door is excellent quality, demonstrating the skill of the joiners at the factory in Fife. The installation was very good, the fitters were friendly and efficient, and the doorset is a perfect fit. After the design was finalised, there was a long lead time but this was due to a backlog after re-opening post Covid and I was made aware of this at the start. A minor fault which recently arose with the finish on the door knob was rectified by Adele without any hassle. If you want a high quality hardwood front door and are willing to wait a few months, then I would recommend T J Ross.

The actual product they supply is excellent, their craftsmen and fitters undoubtedly know their job and care about their work standard. The people they had on site with us that I met were very personable. Unfortunately the companies approach to customer service is extremely poor, never finishing work they previously agreed to and demanding extra money to do that work. They then proceeded to blame one of our other contractors, who we've worked with before, for causing several problems, some of which we knew were completely untrue. They ended up sending us a very long winded, winging letter containing a number of untrue statements. We ended up cancelling some further work we wanted them to do, and won't be using them again. They had agreed to refund our deposit for that additional work, but then created an excuse to retain some of it. Out of a desire to just be done with them we decided to just accept the partial refund.

The Product is Generally Good, the Service is Dismal I live in a large farmhouse which over the last 20 years has had TJ Ross replace 26 windows, 2 French doors, a back door and various internal doors and fittings. So, I imagine around 50k worth of work has been done. Through general wear-and-tear Id a list of minor repairs including the lock on a heavily used French doors which needed sorting quickly. As I work in Edinburgh, I popped into their office and this is what followed: 23 April Visit Martin in Edinburgh office and explained job. 29 April No contact from TJ Ross so emailed a chaser. 6 May Still no contact, so sent another chaser and get a response from Alyn. 14 May Alyn visits house. 5 June Chase for the quote no response. 19 June Over a month later finally get quote, which contains errors. 20 June Send an email accepting quote Adele forwards onto Alyn who will get back to me with dates. Alyns assistant Emily is also emailed to ask for a date no response. 1 July Email Emily again to ask for a date no response. 3 or 4 July Visit Martin in Edinburgh to chase. He suggests someone has been in touch, but my wife and I check emails/voicemail and answer machine and nothing there. 5 July They get in touch to try and arrange dates. 9 July 10 July with a 0830 0900 start agreed. I inform them I must leave once they arrive as I need to be in work and my wife is away. 10 July At 0915 with no one at the house I phone up Emily to find out where they are. A few minutes later she calls back to inform me they were on another job and wont get to me until 1130. At which point I explain that while it is not Emilys fault it is a f**king disgrace. She offers to transfer me through to Alyn and I agree. The phone gets cut off and no one calls me back! I call back and postpone the job as I need to get to work and email Martin asking him to call me on my mobile. When I get to work, there is an email from Martin telling me that as I swore at Alyns assistant (I swore but not at her) they werent going to do the job. If you do decide to use TJRoss deal only with Adele and Martin the others are woeful. As the job was less than 1k, they just didn't care and it was always me chasing. The product is generally very good, with the caveat that last weekend I found some small bits of rot/very soft wood in a few of the windows, so Ill need to get someone else round to repair them
