Having bought 2 part worn tyres (pirelli) both fitted to the front, in mid March I discovered both had bulges on them making them unsafe and required replacement (within 4 weeks) I called Chucks and the manager's response was " What did you hit" ie I had damaged both tyres by hitting potholes. Whilst I agree the state of the roads makes it possible that I may have hit a pothole and caused damage which went unnoticed I find it very hard to believe that not only did I do this once and damaged a tyre but twice inside 4 weeks is highly unlikely indeed. I would highly recommend purchasing new tyres from a recognised and reputable dealer, which is precisely what I'm now doing myself. UPDATE Instead of fitting 2 x pirelli tyres as was quoted it turns out that what was actually fitted was 1 pirelli run flat (not recommended for my car) 1 cheap budget tyre ie 2 unmatched tyres on the same axle!!! This information was passed to me whilst the new tyres were being fitted by a somewhat more reputable dealer Re reply 1. You did NOT ask me to attend your establishment to see what you could do 2. Tyres with bulges on sidewalls are dangerous and require replacement NOT "see what you could do" 3. ZERO mention of fitting tyres that weren't agreed upon 4. ZERO mention of fitting run flat , not recommended for my car 5. ZERO mention of fitting 2 unmatched tyres on the same axle. I could comment further but will happily let prospective customers make up their own minds.
