Upper Carriston Fishery

Im a realist and know its called fishing not catching but Not the fishery it used to be. We were told not to fish it as it wasnt regularly stocked and asked direct if this was the case, we were assured it was well stocked but 9 fish in 8hr for 8 experienced fishermen says otherwise! 60 a boat is top dollar and upper carrison used to be worth that money but not now. Its Sad because this used to be a cracking buzzer and dry fly water, on our trip in good overcast conditions with south 15mph wind were taken on DI5 and DI7 after all other methods were exhausted, Waste of a day, Wont be back as a single angler or as a club under this regime. Poor

Really nice well kept fishery in such a lovely area. The owner Richard is a complete gentleman, so helpful and accommodating. The local anglers I met were so friendly. I had my first evening session yesterday for a couple of hours and managed to land one fish which I was delighted with! P.S. they have an incredible offer on at the moment where you can purchase a month permit for 25, outstanding value!

Fishing at upper carriston a lot now fantastic fish and agreat welcome from Richard the owner. Superb rates. It my go-to place now.
