Capella String Quartet

Couldn't recommend Capella String Quartet more - they were absolutely amazing and set the scene for our wedding. Playing a real variety of songs, our guests were blown away by the atmosphere created by Capella. Organising was very easy and professional and prompt communication throughout the whole process. Couldnt be happier we booked Capella for our wedding at House for an Art Lover. We opted for a classical set as guests arrived and throughout the ceremony, then a contemporary set during the drinks reception. The quartet are absolutely lovely and friendly and great fun to work with, and their playing is absolutely incredible. Furthermore, David was a treat to liaise with in terms of deciding the set lists and dealing with the booking, contract and payment etc. They knew the venue well and were so quick to setup, rehearse and start performing from the second our first guest arrived. If youre looking for a string quartet for your wedding or other special event, I honestly couldnt recommend Capella enough. More than worth every penny spent, and they will be a real feature of your day. Thank you so much!

We had no intention of having a violinist at our wedding but we met David at an open evening at Boclair House and when I heard him playing I had to go over and chat to him. He was so friendly and answered all my questions. I told him the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to and he was able to play it to let me hear. That was me sold! It was so beautiful. Communication with David was quick and easy. He was very accommodating with us and the time frames we wanted him to play for. We enjoyed looking through his list of songs and choosing some as a playlist. He was also able to make some specific requests for our ceremony. David played beautifully during our ceremony and dinner. He was the addition we didnt know our wedding needed and I am so glad we saw him that evening. Capella came to play at our wedding in December and I have to say they were absolutely amazing. All of our guests were raving about the music and they even were happy to accompany one of the bridesmaids singing for us. We also asked David to stay on and play throughout the meal as a solo violin and by the end of the dinner he had all the tables singing along with him. Their selection of music is fantastic and you are able to request a couple of songs that they will learn before the ceremony which is an extra special touch. David was also super helpful in the run up to the wedding. Book them and you wont regret it!

David played at my wedding ceremony and he was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Wide repertoire and open to suggestions, excellent and prompt communication and the music was beautiful on the day. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend- thank you David!
