Contemporary Violins

Over the past 8 years we have bought a violin, a viola and two bows from John at Contemporary Violins, for our son who attends music school. He is always asked about the maker of these instruments and complimented on the sound .We have nothing but respect for the way John seeks to provide amazing instruments for players and it is evident that he inherently cares about the progress and development of these young musicians. Overall, John has gone out of his way in sourcing outstanding instruments.and we cannot recommend Contemporary Violins enough. Unquestionable integrity.

Sharon was very helpful and communicative with me at all stages of the buying process when I wanted to buy a violin from her. I bought a violin for my son from Contemporary Violins in 2014. I knew absolutely nothing about violins or how to chose one. John and Sharon made to whole process extremely easy and stress free. I would not have been able to obtain the quality of instrument I have without their knowledge, support and advice. The violin has been an excellent purchase which sounds and looks fantastic. The violin is a cherished instrument which has been played almost on a daily basis and has been played in many places from the BBC Symphony Orchestra in London to The National Youth Orchestra of Scotland and the Barrowlands in Glasgow.
