Freezing, atmosphere lacking restaurant. When booking I was told it would be for two hours. Why are so many restaurants treating paying customers, spending their hard earned cash on a nice meal, as something akin to a sitting at a school dinner cafeteria? Probably shouldnt have booked but was induced by the previous reviews. On entering I was dismayed at the dowdy furnishings and figments. Furthermore it was apparent that there was either no heating on or a severe lack of heating. It really is a basic for a restaurant to be warm. It isnt asking too much to sit in some sort of comfort when eating your meal. When seated we were told by no less than three different people how to decipher the menu. Again as an adult male and female the menu shouldnt be an exercise akin to the times crossword. On that point when asking the location of the gents toilets I was told in no uncertain terms that there were two gender neutral toilets by two patronising adolescent staff members. On entering the gender neutral toilet on the left, I found myself in a utility cleaning room with a curtain. To the right was the toilet. Three mens urinals (no way an adult female or woman could use same) and a room with a toilet pan! I would hate to think of my daughter coming out of that room to be confronted with a male using the urinal! On returning to my seat my partner still had her coat on due to the lack of heating. Enough was enough, we decided to leave. If this is the best Glasgow can do then we really are in a sorry state. If I could give no stars I would.

If I could give Suissi Vegan Kitchen more than five stars I would. The food was magnificent. Not only the best vegan restaurant I've eaten at, but without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in Glasgow by far. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and made this a ten out of ten dining experience for my partner's birthday. If you love Thai/Malaysian food, you'll love Suissi.
