I got a car here but I don't think I would recommend so stear clear is my advice

Hay Car Sales, also calling themselves Autobarn Car Sales, mostly advertises via Autotrader. The dealer Paul operates out of an office and yard attached to Cairns & Scott restaurant supplies. I bought a Skoda Fabia from Paul in September. The car was described in the advert as being in great condition with a Full Service History. On viewing the car it did indeed appear to be in a generally good condition, however both manual wing-mirror adjusters were broken. Paul said that he could get them both repaired that coming weekend. He also explained that the car had just been serviced and that all of the service documents were therefore still with the garage. He told me that he would post them, along with a copy of the warranty straight away. Some 6 months later, after numerous unanswered phone calls and texts, and even after two trips back to the dealer all I have had is weak excuses. There is no sign of the service history, evidence of a service, or proof that the warranty was ever applied for. Neither had the wing mirrors been replaced (apparently due to having problems with sourcing the parts), even though I managed to get a replacement easily. In summary, I would definitely not recommend Hay Car Sales and I have found Paul to be very unreliable and untrustworthy to deal with.
