A true Victorian suburban commuter station with not a hint of commerce in the vicinity. Unfortunately stations of this type are not restricted access friendly from any of the three entrances. No amenities or facilities, but plenty of services for the sporadic amount of users of this station.

A station with excellent regular service to Glasgow City Centre. The station is serviced by two separate train lines: the Newton service and the Cathcart Circle service. There are three trains running every hour to Glasgow Central - one Newton train and two Cathcart Circle trains. The Cathcart Circle doesn't run on Sundays meaning that there is only one train an hour on Sundays. The station is not staffed but there are automated machines for the purchase of tickets. There are two shelters but neither of these are heated
