        Some of the fossilized remains of those ancient forests can be found in the Fossil Grove which is located within Glasgows Victoria Park (located in the Whiteinch area of the city). No wait required as this is part of the public park, no entrance fee either. Can easily spend about an hour here or more.

        Keep finding this wonderful prehistoric site closed. More effort should be forthcoming for it's upkeep and access.

        Not open Saturday and Sunday at 12md as stated on Google maps. Website only has dates for April 2022 so is not updated regularly. Frustrating that I travelled a long way and couldn't see it.

        So sad that Glasgow has a world famous site like this that just doesnt open. Needs a better solution. Charge a couple of quid to enter and ask for volunteers (plenty of enthusiastic geologists in the city!).
