Inspiring Travel Scotland

There are limited words in the English language that can express how wonderful our experience was in working with Paul and Inspiring Travel Scotland. Some that come to mind are "priceless, epic, amazing, breathtaking, first class, exceptional" but in reality they pale in comparison to how truly wonderful working with him and our guide Fergus. Planning: Paul was extremely responsive, fast to amend/adjust our requests/wants, as well consult with us on just how to go about our trip. He even shipped over an entire printed itinerary packet and vouchers prior to our trip, so we could have everything in hand upon take-off from the States. Experience: There was not one...and I mean not one single hiccup our entire 10 days in Scotland. From the moment we landed in Edinburgh we were picked up by Paul's driver and taken to our first hotel. Then promptly on Saturday our guide, Fergus, showed up at the exact time we were told and whisked us away for our next 5 days together. Every hotel we stayed at got us in the room promptly with the absolute best customer service and 5-star attention to detail. (Note - most of our hotels were actually 5-stars ;)). We saw so much of the country from Edinburgh --> Glencoe --> Isle of Skye --> Culloden --> Inverness --> Loch Ness --> Crieff Hydro with amazing stops along the way. Guide: Fergus is quite simply everything you would want from a guide and frankly a person. He is passionate about what he does, knows SO MUCH about the history of Scotland and details others don't, as well as extremely organized and pays attention to details - details we even forgot we mentioned ;). While he stuck to the original plan, the little things he did on the fly for our kids and us really touched our hearts and we consider him a family friend at this point. Not to mention he's an excellent driver and EXTREMELY patient w/ kids. We traveled with our 12, 10, and 7 year old daughters - who get motion sickness quite easily and can fight from time to time...and yet he handled all of it with grace and kindness...even more patience than their dad ;) While our trip was expensive - I wouldn't have traded a single experience and am left wondering how we find other Paul's and Fergus' in other countries to explore with our children.

Such a unique and personalized experience. Our Driver/Tour Guide, Adrian, Really knew our interests and was able to key in on exactly what we wanted to see and how long we should spend at each location to make sure we didn't miss a thing. We experienced everything from Ancient hidden Forts, to spectacular historic castles, to somber, dark battlefields, to Whiskey made by the sea, to Magical standing stones, to breathtaking stunning Highland scenery, to Freshly shucked oysters AND, of course...Golf like nowhere else! A truly delightful and complete travel experience. We highly recommend Inspiring Travel Scotland for anyone seeking to really explore this incredible country.

My husband and I, along with our two teenagers, had an absolutely wonderful trip with a customized private tour designed by Paul at Inspiring Travel Scotland! Over our nine days we visited Edinburgh, the Highlands and Islands, and St. Andrews. We saw so much of beautiful Scotland and hit all of the highlights we were looking for; history and scenery for me, golf for my husband and son, and wildlife sightings for my daughter. Our private guide was outstanding and all of our accommodations were lovely. Can't wait to visit again!

For a week long visit, Inspiring Travel did a great job customizing a tour based on the Outlander Series and historic sights available in Scotland. Hotel selection was excellent -- just what we hoped for and our guide, Andy Plews, was phenomenal.
