I attended Jamie's Zoom classes during lockdown and for some time after. Always enjoyable and a life saver during lockdown. Jamie's cheerie attitude and banter made it all good fun. Only stopping as this now clashes with my Pilates class at the Lagoon. Lorraine Glen

Tai Chi Glasgow South is relaxed and friendly. Jamie's two decades of experience shines through in each session. Through quick gains and the occassional stagnation, Jamie has been there as an encouraging and stable influence. Good teachers will respond to student's questions; great teachers will answer questions, before the student has even been able to fully articulate the thought. Jamie is one of these teachers.

I started going to Jamies class about 3 years ago when I moved over to the South Side. Learning the form has helped me with my strength and balance since I broke my hip a number of years back. Tai Chi is an excellent form of exercise both physically and mentally. I really enjoy the meditative and contemplative side of the form. Jamie teaches the form with great knowledge, boundless enthusiasm and a huge amount of patience. His approachable manner gives you the confidence to ask questions if youve missed or dont understand something. We are also learning breathing and meditation exercises. I definitely recommend Learning Tai Chi with Jamie at the Flowering Lotus School.

I learned tai chi around twenty years ago, but sadly stopped practicing after a few years and forgot the form! Like many people during the first covid lockdown, I looked for something to occupy my time. Thats when it occurred to me there might be an online tai chi class available as a refresher, and thats when I was lucky enough to find Jamie Simpsons classes. It is amazing how learning online has changed things so much since the pandemic: little did I think I would be joining a class in Glasgow from my home in Fife! I would highly recommend Jamie as a teacher. He is clear in his instructions, offers interesting details about the principles behind tai chi and this is all done with his brilliant sense of humour. His offerings online are brilliant, with live classes via Zoom, and his platform hosting class recordings and step-by-step instructions on the tai chi sequence when a reminder is needed. I was made to feel welcome by Jamie and the members from the start. Thank you everyone!

I started Tai Chi with Jamie three years ago. I am now also learning sword and 'push hands'. So far, it's been a rich journey through the principles of Tai Chi and Chen Man Ching's knowledge, which Jamie teaches us with a variety of anecdotes and exercises. My physical flexibility has improved, I feel more aware of my body, and the meditative aspect of Tai Chi helps to go through daily life more serenely. The atmosphere in class is friendly and relaxed, and I enjoy the energy that comes from practicing Tai Chi all together. I completed the form on Zoom during lockdown. It was great to be able to continue practicing during those hard times. Since then, even if we are back in class, Jamie proposes on the website online revision's classes, which are very helpful for beginners and advanced students. Highly recommended !
