Timpson

Having broken my car key and acquired a new blank I visited Timpson Newton Mearns to get it cut. Ryan who served me said he didn't have the kit for the job but very helpfully contacted his colleague at the Braehead branch. The response he got was that they could cut the key, it would cost 25 Pounds but if it didn't work there would be no refund. Not what I expected from Timpsons and indeed Ryan looked a bit shamefaced at having to convey this offhand message. Against my better judgement I did take my business to Braehead. The gentleman, and I use that term very loosely, who served me today 17th April 2023 told me the key would now cost 30 Pounds and would take 15 minutes to produce. When I queried why the price had increased he became very arrogant and dismissive obviously lacking any patience for his customers. In addition, despite my being present during the phone call, he denied ever having heard from Ryan. He then ripped off the ticket and thrust it at me but rather petulantly decided that I had not taken it from him with the delicacy he expected and threw the keys in my direction.

Had to order a new car fob customer service excellent very helpful and knowledgeable went beyond what was expected in getting key coded in vehicle could not do enough would recommend
