My husband was in this care home. He was left wandering about for three days. I had to take him out and place him in another as the care he was getting was. In a word dreadful. I could not get him out quick enough. That is when I was informed that he had not been given a COVID test. The home I was taking him to would not take him in without a test. I had to leave him in Wyndford lock for another three days. He had been mixing with the other residents for three days without a test. Thank goodness he is now in a lovely caring home where he is treated like a human being and not referred to as the new resident

on the 20 November 2017 our mum was given a place at Wynford Locks care home in Maryhill at the time ran under the bupa name now hc one. The first flag I raised was that my who was totally NIL by mouth had been given a glucose gel orally.. anything my mum could swallow could have killed her.. i spoke with the nurse and said that she was 100% NIL by mouth they ignored my concerns.. then on the 5th December 2017 we found her barely responding according to the nurse on that night she was fine and it was only a chest infection... I am no nurse or doctor but just looking at her we knew something wasnt right after expressing our concerns 3 times I got to the point of saying that I was calling NHS 24 the nurse then said that was her job! when we got our mum in the ambulance we were told that we had probably saved her life that night. She was suffering from punomnia and unfortunately never fully recovered. Today I received a phone call from the care commission to say that there was inadequate care found for my mum and 3 other residents. If making this public saves one person/family from the hell we have been through I will have done this for a reason. I wish nothing more than for my mum to be here today to tell her instead I will forever be asking the question of what if. I would like to thank the staff who actually cared for her this is not a reflection on them. DONT USE THIS CARE HOME
