I sent a small letter to be signed for 2nd class. The guy behind the counter charged me for the price of a large letter. I didn't notice till I got home and read my receipt. The guy must have known but couldn't be bothered to correct his own mistake. What a joke. Letter size DL, weight 50g.Cannot be mistaken for a large letter. But apparently it can if you use this post office.

I'm shocked reading these reviews as I've had the opposite treatment, i have found the guy's behind the counter so helpful and nothing seemed to much trouble, my health is quite bad sometimes and ive been offered a seat and a glass of water on at least 2 occasions, this is not my nearest post office but I'd rather travel the extra wee bit as they have been so much nicer than my local. Absolutely ridiculous customer service and rubbish excuses by the girl behind the counter! I do post over 250 parcels from this post office every month and usually I don't ask for proof of postage but sometime I do , but if I ask for proof of postage the answer I get is "we lose money on giving out proof of postage "(as if money will be taken off from their wages) if that is the case they should go for a strike and ask for wage rise,as far as I am concerned about my money I expect proof of what I send/spend and if I can wait in the queue for 5 minutes I can certainly wait couple more minutes to get my receipt printed. the advise I was given that large letter I usually pay 1.05 ,I should pay 2.45 for "signed for delivery" for same size of parcels so I definitely get a receipt! 1.40 extra for each parcel(suggestion which I never asked ),mathematically it would be 280-350 extra for same amount of parcels. It is probably the most stupidest thing to suggest !

If I could give this so called Post Office a minus score I would. I tried to send a package to a friend in Norway and was grilled by a rude and intimidating individual demanding that I tell him what was in the package and if I didn't I would need to complete a customs form. My understanding is that the customs form should be completed anyway not if I don't tell them what is in the package. How on earth the Post Office allows this place to continue to represent them is beyond me. For a female customer they are an extremely intimidating place. Please do not use Edit: owner of branch says all customers asked to disclose items. That isn't in dispute. The individual who served me said if I didn't identify to him the items I would need to complete a customs form. Incorrect I should have been asked to complete a customs form anyway. The main isdue was the member of staff's rude and intimidating manner. I suspect he would not have spoken to a male customer in this way. Terrible arrogant attitude. Have reported to PO complaints
