Attended boots at 11:00 on march 1st. Buying some essentials and asking to pickup a prescription. System was down, which is fair, stuff like that happens. But when it was evident I was hitting a minor panic attack over my medication (I have none left and its detrimental I have enough), asking if theres any other way I could go around it, was met with thee worst attitude Ive ever seen. Ive worked at boots previously, in the pharmacy department specifically. To have a sales advisor repeatedly say theres nothing I can do and raise her hands in the air while Im trying to work out a plan of action, was condescending to say the least. Staff, especially from sales advisors in my experience, have a duty to be empathetic and understand that yeah you might have had to repeat yourself all morning letting people know the system is down, but Im just hearing this news that is critical to my wellbeing. Have some compassion and understand Im not questioning what you can do, Im questioning how there are no back up options for people who cant wait until it just goes back on. From an autistic person who struggles with panic attacks and relies on her meds, this encounter as well as the many looks she offered, has put me off shopping/attending boots again. Call it ableism or call it staff not understanding how awful this could be to someone. If it wasnt for my partner with me, I would have probably cried. Boots, youre a company Ive worked for before and youve always done well. But this sales advisor has just shown how ableist and unemphatic those we trust to make us better.

I keep running out of pills. The repeat prescription service is hopeless..on Google the closing time is 6pm, but only when I get down there I find they close at 5pm...most annoying..
