I wish I could give less than 1 star. Worked there last Summer for a few shifts. This is hands down the worst company I've ever worked for, and I'll tell you why. They'll refrain from telling you for as long as they can, and will try to drown you in a sickly overly can-do attitude, but this is a totally commission based role. They try to indoctrinate you into this cringe inducing gung-ho philosophy, kind of like a Drama teacher might if she were desperate for her course to seem cool. In the three or four times I did the duties of the "Brand ambassador" (in other words door-to-door cold caller), literally nobody made a sale. Not one person of the at least 20 involved. They had us trekking around Helensburgh in the blistering heat for hours - blistering being an appropriate adjective because my feet were covered in literal blisters afterwards - and not one of us made a penny. What's more ridiculous is that I actually made a deficit from working there, after the three or four days I actually went before realising the disingenuous nature of the company. I won't take into account regular travelling costs, however on one occasion I was left by my team leader all the way out in Helensburgh, and had to pay 6.50 for the train home! The next day I approached the Team Leaders, or executives, or whatever position they appointed themselves, and addressed that I was unsure it as to the legality of their practices; solely commission-based rolls in my understanding are only legal if the workers are earning minimum wage. Celica employees in my experience were earning far from it. When I addressed this, within hours I was excused. Well, at least they promised me my 6.50 train journey would be reimbursed. Well, at least until I found that it hadn't been reimbursed. To this day, a year or on, I'm still waiting for the 6.50 I spent on that train journey. This company have earned the scrutiny they've got online from disgruntled past employees like myself. Beware! Don't let them exploit your labour power like they did mine.
