I got 3 quotes for my driveway and garden and was struck by how professional Michael was. His design drawings were extremely creative and on completion, I was blown away. I would highly recommend Michael for a quality of workmanship, including maintenance which is to a very high standard. Services: Landscape design, Weed control, Lawn mowing & maintenance

North Hill Gardens have given us a beautiful contemporary garden that we absolutely love. Charlotte who designed our garden was fantastic. She constantly kept in touch and visited our garden on many occasions to make sure that everything was going according to plan. The team led by Aurelijus worked very hard to achieve this result. We look forward to using them again soon to complete the remainder of our garden.

I would not recommend this company. If you choose this company I would urge you to pre-agree the entire requirements, have a detailed scope of works, a detailed cost schedule and payment based on milestones. We were looking to give our garden a complete makeover and met with two companies. We felt comfortable with Michael and the team but very quickly the costs spiralled in-fact they doubled and every discussion was about an extra. Suddenly our proposed costs were over double the initial budget with various uncertainties around certain work and costs. Despite them starting and pushing ahead, due to all of the additional and uncertainty around costs we instructed North Hill to stop all work until we obtained 3 other quotes and were comfortable to proceed. Unfortunately this took three requests and considerable extra cost, and stress for my wife, before it happened. This is a cost that we should not have paid, but in the spirit of being fair, reasonable and giving the benefit of doubt, we did. In the end we appointed another contractor to do the work. As a result, we achieved a much better quality finish- our sunken hot tub is built with brick rather than timber, our lawn edge is stone rather than aluminium, our garden has proper drainage oppose to a soak away, our up stands are galvanised steel oppose to timber and we saved over 55% whilst increasing the quality. Perhaps our job was too big for North Hill, or they thought they had a cash cow, either way, I would not recommend this company and would urge caution- whilst the team were very personable and value for money is subjective, when we obtained 3 other quotes, one from a company that mainly carry our works for large contractors and councils, North Hill were almost double the price of the most expensive quote we obtained. In the end we opted for the middle priced company and we are delighted with their work, so much so we have them coming back to replace a large patio. I would suggest that if you are reading this review then you get a quote from a proper landscape garden company that do the work
