We had a (very expensive) takeaway from Ichiban and admittedly we were 10 minutes late for collection but that did not make any profound difference to an array of dishes which were, almost exclusively, bland, beige, and flacid. I'm glad we ordered the chilli oil and wasabi - they lent the poor vegetables, tofu & chips some flavour, at least. The staff were rude, the food was lack lustre (to be kind). I'd reccome.d going to Mono round the corner. Miles better.

I've ordered Ichiban to my home, specifically the pork & prawn chahan & miso soup, both delicious. You can tell it's restaurant quality compared to a more standard Asian takeaway, however you will pay more for that quality. However giving 5 stars as the meal was delicious and 12 for a main meal isn't bad value by any means. I look forward to visiting the restaurant at some point!
