They're too busy applauding themselves about what a fantastic job they do to actually do a good job. If they don't completely wash their hands of problems within their properties via stonewalling and gaslighting, they perform substandard, makeshift repair jobs. Papering over cracks. They also have a nasty propensity for shifting blame for issues in their properties onto tenants rather than take responsibility for their aforementioned incapability or unwillingness to do decent standard repairs and maintenance. They regularly spout lies and propaganda about how they invest your rent money in improving your property - what they really mean by this is they invest your rent money in improving other people's properties, while turning a blind eye to pest infestations, mould and anti social behaviour. They've taken several thousand pounds of my earnings in rent, yet I can't think of a single notable improvement they've made to my flat. They breach the tendency agreement with impunity with regards to the professionalism of their maintenance staff or lack thereof, and resort to petty bureaucracy as and when suits. Happy to vigorously hound you for constantly increasing rent payments, yet strangely less enthusiastic about addressing concerns and responding to letter and email correspondence. I could go on. The fact they claim charitable status is farcical in itself.
