If I could give zero stars I would - horrendous experience!! I called this salon looking for an appointment for highlights. explaining very clearly and explicitly that I had never been there before but had already gotten a patch test done at another salon earlier that week. The girl had gone off to ask and returned to the call offering me an appointment at short notice that morning which I gratefully accepted. Having dropped plans and frantically rushed to get there on time, I called the salon a second time out of courtesy to explain that I was just minutes away and was told that was absolutely fine. I was utterly shocked and appalled to then walk in and be met with the owner who quite bluntly exclaimed that there was a misunderstanding that they do not take on new clients. When I explained that I was very clear to the girl on the phone that I had never been before which is why she had actually gone to confirm with someone before giving me the appointment, to which he bluntly replied she didnt ask me and Im being very clear now that we dont take new clients. As I tried to express the the abominable way I felt I was being treated, it was becoming quickly evident to me that this gentleman was in his own little power bubble and was becoming even more abhorrent and rude. For the short time I was there I was stuck by how sullen and toxic the atmosphere was within the salon itself (no surprise given the owners attitude) not to mention how unclean the place looked - There was also a dog that barked and growled and, although a lovely looking breed, its coat was absolutely manky!! This was the most shocking, humiliating and patronising experience Ive ever received at any establishment in my life and is the precise example of how any salon or indeed customer- focused business should NOT be run - avoid at all costs!!
