Although the setting was wonderful and staff were very helpful and friendly I felt the food at the Willow Tea Rooms was disappointing. I chose quiche which was over baked and rubbery and not very appealing. It is a shame the quality of the food doesnt live up to the quality of the surroundings. Vegetarian options: I was disappointed by the vegetarian options available and felt they lacked imagination.

A wonderful experience. Took my partner for the Salon du luxe afternoon tea. Cant find fault. Absolutely amazing. Food and service are outstanding. The venue also is a must see.

A beautiful reconstruction of the tea room, but gone is the golden age One of the most beautiful cup of hot chocolate Ive seen. Beautiful latte art, airy, not too sweet, warming up my stomach and soul. Chicken liver pate is beautifully silky. Blue cheese has a nice strong kick. Sandwiches look a little like the catering pack at our facultys meetings, but the warm sun dried tomato quiche is lovely. Nice little warm scones. The desserts are far too sweet for me, unfortunately. Love the idea of offering takeaway boxes. Proud of cutting food waste :) no matter how fancy the place is. The option to change and try different tea blends is great. Some suggestion: Would appreciate if the flowers are fresh ones instead of plastic That was part of Ms.Cranstons passion, wasnt it? The service is really friendly and warm (Thank you Megan for the stories!). The background music is low key and enjoyable. And the room, of course, is fabulous. Would recommend for the rare exclusive experience, available only on Thursdays and Fridays.
