The staff at Academy Wholesale Electrics have always been extremely helpful and very knowledgable. Good selection of stock to choose from, at very good prices. I would highly recommend them.

Like previous reviewer said very bad business practices. Con! I went to buy some pendant lights and chose four of a particular one that was listed for 36 but when I ordered the guy went in the office to check the stock and came back saying its 41 now. Why display price when you are going to charge something else or if it is not a fixed price. Well, I needed them so I bought them with some extras. Bill over 200. Then I went back again to get vintage bulb cluster. Particular one I wanted was not in the stock so we placed order (135 I guess) but by the time it arrived in the warehouse my need was fulfilled so I called and told them I don't need them anymore, but I'll buy something else later on. After some time I asked Owner Tony for the refund as I was not expecting any need in near future to which he said that it is specially ordered for me so he cannot offer a refund. I said I haven't even taken the delivery and the stuff has not even moved from the shop. Then he told me that they will have to deduct 25% handling charge. I even mentioned that in Scotland consumer have cooling off period within which things can be returned without any reason and In this case I haven't even received the item, infact item didn't leave his warehouse. But still adamant on deducting 25%, then I told him to just keep all and buy some presents for his children with that money. Its been almost 2 months, I waited thinking he will feel ashamed and will return the money but no. Even though he got my previous business but for just 35 he lost a customer and got a terrible review which thousands will read.
