After two years I've had enough of fighting tooth and nail to get to see my GP. The person who answers the phone is extremely controlling of access to medical attention and consistently minimises my health issues. Most appalling of all was when she predicted what the doctor would say to me as justification for refusing to let me see the doctor. I don't know who she thinks she is that she can restrict access to the service. I have left the practice because I am tired of begging reception to let me have an appointment. Hopefully my new practice's receptionist will be willing to actually communicate my distress to a medical professional.

If you are thinking of signing up to a GP I would highly recommend to look elsewhere. The nurses at the practice are really lovely but unfortunately the practice manager Donna is very abrupt, often very rude and shows no empathy towards people which is not the best attitude to have with patients visiting a gp. They booked me in with a male doctor even though I had requested a female for something very personal and when I politely voiced my concern after the appointment Donna was so rude she made me cry during a very fragile time.

First Id like to say the doctors are great but the practise manager Donna and her side kick Pauline are possibly two of the rudest people Ive ever had the misfortune to deal with. Their attitudes are atrocious at best and they are simply in the wrong job as they have zero interest in EVER trying to help you. Its quite staggering how these people get these jobs in the first place and it just goes to show how desperate the NHS is when they have to resort to hiring people who simply shouldnt be working with the public as they dont have the skill, care or understanding to be able to do this kind of work. Find another surgery seriously because dealing with this crowd just makes you feel worse. PS- Half of the 5 stars reviews are from people who work there or their familys.
