This is an edited review. The clinic have issued a breakdown in patient/doctor relationship letter. It is my intention to present verifiable facts. This edit has been done at the clinics request, but it should be noted, they requested it be removed altogether. It should also be noted, the clinic should be cautious, not to attempt further methods of gaslighting an individuals accounts based on recent correspondence received. I have suffered with IBS symptoms since 2020 and have been in contact with the clinic to diagnose my condition since. The two main issues come in the form of communication errors via my personal details, full address and phone number. There are numerous incidents of not receiving letters or text/phone communication regarding my diagnosis and the referrals I awaited. Given the challenging nature of the times, I am willing to suggest not all blame lies with the clinic, perhaps with its parent database. Regardless, Dr Khan, has taken great exception to me wishing to verify these details whenever we speak. My desire to verify my details, has been taken as an accusation. The wish to verify details to ensure I receive the right support and resources to combat my situation should not be taken as an accusation - it is due diligence on my part to ensure no further disruption. In March 2022 I called Dr Khan to discuss why all correspondence on my condition had gone cold and to express my concern that I was no further along with understanding my condition. I wished to restart the referrals I first discussed with her colleague Dr Yeon in 2020, because it was my belief that the disruptions to my contact details may have impacted important follow up communication regarding my meeting with the gastro nurse in 2021. In April 2022 I contacted Dr Khan again. Severely frustrated with the most recent outcome - I had without reason received a referral to the ear nose and throat clinic instead of either a referral to the gastroclinic or for a scan on my abdomen as I had requested. It has been noted that Whiteinch considers that I made a demand for a referral to the ENT clinic. But I would suggest that is impossible considering my issues have clearly always been in relation to my bowels and my abdomen in this instance. This instance for me raises a very severe red flag. At no point in my conversation with the Dr in March 2022 did I mention ear, nose or throat. She had taken it upon herself to presume thats what I meant in relation to a scan and she has hijacked this point to suggest I demanded a series of tests in her recent letters. It should be noted my exact words to Dr Khan in April were - Please, please, let this be the last time I have to phone up to get this dealt with and please put us on track towards a diagnosis after today To which she abruptly hung up and ended the call without comment. The fact I received such a referral in relation to my bowels and abdomen, is hysterically laughable if it werent such an obvious example of the Drs inability to listen to a patients concerns - highlighted by her hanging up on a patient mid conversation. The following day I received a letter noting a breakdown in doctor/patient relationship and that I had displayed unacceptable behaviour. The clinic would no longer be treating me or accepting my requests for appointments. I have no recollection or instance of having displayed unacceptable behaviour during the call and the manner regarding what I did to constitute unacceptable behaviour is not defined within the letter itself, instead left as an arbitrary definition. I did tear up, resisting to cry, my comments of Please, please, please emotionally strained due to my exhaustion with the whole process. But at no point did I display intimidating/aggressive language or behaviour, remaining calm. This is my account overall during this diagnosis and this was my true experience of my time with the clinic. If they wish me to match up the dates to the instances as part of a larger dispute Im quite willing to do so.
