I attended this church when it was also a Bible collage in 1979 only lasted 6 months at the Bible collage boarded with the Mckays from the church in Clydebank who were real nice people they were around my age at the time and were not as strict as the older generation in the church it had a very strict pastor who ran the church in a very old fashioned way and I was always in trouble with him for not sticking to the rules I was a bit of a rebel in those days. In November of that year I moved to the Republic of Ireland to take up the position of music ministry leader in a new Pentecostal Church in Waterford I was there for 17 years before returning to Scotland in 1996 and opened my Sun Recording Studio In Kilmarnock in 1998

This building and the fellowship therein was such a core staple of my upbringing. I didn't enjoy the 300mi round journey every month to attend the conferences with the family. I didn't enjoy the services, or having to wear a suit. I was, after all, only a child. But it was one of only two places in my entire life I have felt truly safe. Not free from, but at least safe from, the demons within my own mind. The people here, the experiences and memories, the very energies within that place! I severely miss it. I always felt a strange foreboding, yet simultaneously a great beckoning. The building and people are a core part of my DNA and to be inside is like being in a completely set apart universe. It is all so surreal, my memories so vivid yet so trancelike. So apprehensive yet such a comfort. Words to describe the simultaneous wonder of nostalgia and fear of recollection I feel when I remember this place are insufficient. I have not had my closure .
