Had my first communion here with Paul Reilly. Then was confirmed as a believer. Lots of Lourdes water has passed beneath here since then. I have grown and moved on fae the Hill in the Drum. All the memories of here remain. Boss place. Big Mick, Father Walsh, Father Roberts (who reminded all my Tim pals as St Lauries of `The master` fae Dr Who) Father O`Hare ( Who used to have a kick aboot wae the Bhoys on the red ash pitch in his cassock) and young Father McGinley. All practiced here in the very late sixties - late seventies. All grand, all mad men. All scorchin Hoops men.

Fr Barns helped us give our mum a very fitting send-off recently. A very genuine and approachable parish priest.
