My Ford Ranger displayed an AdBlue error and information that it won't start the engine after driving another 300 miles. I called them, booked the first possible slot with only 2 weeks of waiting and appeared at 8:30 am as booked. At this stage, they didn't know how long it will take. I explained, I'm living very remote and it would take me 2 days to drive back home using public transport. They still didn't want to say if it's a 5-minute job or 2 days. In fact, it's the advisor who didn't know as she didn't ask anyone. 11:51 I get a text that they start checking my vehicle. Seriously? 3h21m after booking time? It took them 1h to make a check that cost over 100. As result, I get an answer that they can do some more checks for another 150 or simply fix what is already found for a bit over 150. I asked how long it will take to just fix what they found so I can drive back home the same day. The advisor doesn't know and the mechanic just went for lunch. Though software update and road check can't take longer than an hour, so agreed to proceed. 6h later they called me, said they're closing in 30 minutes and it won't be ready the same day. If I wish they can undo changes but I would still have to pay for it. Perfect. A whole day wasted, nothing done, bill ready, they can undo changes and let me drive back... I agree. They made me homeless for the night, but didn't they give me choice? The next day the car was ready at 12. Oh, extra 100 because they had to fix some wire. Would be nice to hear it before payment. I choose Arnold Clark first time in my life cos I thought such a big company must be good at what they're doing. I knew they're super expensive but I was hoping bigger prices mean better quality. Unfortunately not. Extremely disappointed.
