Tony McCaffery delivered a super presentation to around 250 Rotary delegates at our annual Conference in Peebles Hydro this past weekend. As well as informing us of some of his own life experiences he also showed us how to develop our awareness and provided tools to assist Rotarians in understanding Diversity Equity and Inclusion issues. DEI matters to all organisations and Rotary in Scotland is determined to learn and benefit from focusing on these issues. Thank you Tony.

Highly effective session, delivered in an open and inclusive way. Demonstrated good understanding of our industry and applied D,E&I to it well. Workshop formats were open, relaxed and allowed exploring of tricky language issues. Highly recommend.

Tony of Diversity Scotland facilitated a first class workshop to staff and volunteers at our charity SPARK. He shared his vast knowledge on the subject of Diversity, resulting in many participants commenting just how much the session made them think more about the impact of their own language. Encouraged by the format of the workshop, lively discussion took place which further demonstrated Tony's expertise in delivering an informed, impactful session. There were many take aways from the learning, including that passive inclusion is just not enough to make a difference in today's society, conscious inclusion is what is needed, as we all don't start from a level playing field. With this at the forefront of our minds, we can meet people where they are at and fill those gaps of opportunity, to support a fairer, more inclusive society.
