We turned up to our appointment to be greeted by the shop assistant hollering us over to her car she was sitting in. She explained she came to the shop without the shop keys and that her daughter has them and shes 15 minutes away so we would need to wait outside. 20 minutes passed and we returned to be told the same story that her daughter would be bringing keys and again something about her being 15 minutes away. Another 15 minutes passed and eventually we were let inside, we were very fortunate to have a car as this shop is located within an industrial estate with no toilets or warm shelter and it was a frosty afternoon with temperatures at -1. We were then walked through a bare warehouse into a small room filled with dresses crammed on rails that lined every wall and took up the majority of floor space. Upon our awaited entrance I was queried with regards to my budget that I stated was over 100. This was met with a scoff as the shop assistant informed us I couldnt even buy them in for that as she laughed away at herself. The website unlike other local bridal websites doesnt display prices therefore I had no idea what Id be walking into. However, all dresses start at 180/200 so it made sense as to why prices werent displayed, youve got to get folk in somehow. There was one dressing room with no hooks/hangers for clothes so all clothes had to be balanced on the one chair provided. There was only small old leather couch in the warehouse room which we all had to pile up on, I only have 3 bridesmaids and it was extremely crammed. After each dress was tried on the shop assistant just bung them all on a pile on the floor. Throughout the appointment the assistant frequently referred to my budget as cheap and continuously said things to the affect of aye for the the cheaper things you might be getting or like etc. I wouldve been more than happy to go over my budget had I of seen something that I felt was worth it. The dresses were of fine quality within the store but overall plain and wouldve needed a belt or an appliqu to have added some detail. When this was suggested by myself the shop assistant brought out some really tacky rectangular diamant plastic ribbon and stated she had loads of this lying around and could put it on each dress for a tenner as if she was doing me a favour. She then suggested I could go onto eBay which is commonly known for its budget pricing to get a belt as I guess she felt thats what my budget was worth. When discussing time scales I was told that she would need decisions asap as to whether we were buying dresses there or not. My wedding is 7 months away which hasnt been an issue anywhere else and my reasoning for it being a little tight for time is that I lost both my parents 2 weeks apart this summer so plans were on hold. This weekend was my dads first heavenly birthday and I wanted to have a nice experience dress shopping however, this was seriously not the case. I started to well up during the appointment and the assistant assumed it was about prices cause that was clearly a focus for her and said not to worry if I couldnt afford anything in there basically. When in matter of fact I was crying due to the experience I was having - staff should be mindful of the power of language within a customer service trade and the impact that can have on client emotions because that in turn will impact their sales, which they certainly wont be getting from me. I had attended an appointment at Davids bridal beforehand which was free unlike this appointment which cost 15. Davids bridal treated me with dignity and respect and greeted me warmly and importantly on time. There was a wide variety of dresses of high quality within the store with much more detailing and finishing touches for below and well within my budget that were beautiful. I had to wait 20 minutes outside in my car before driving home as I was so upset and it truly ruined my whole experience. If you wish to discuss this further my booking was on 10/12/2022 and was arranged to start at 1pm.

Lovely little shop, friendly staff. Plenty of selection considering the size of the shop itself only downfall would be lack of different sizing options
