Grants the bakers

Been going here for years. There have been some changes, maybe to pies and other savouries... Cakes are magic, big and unashamedly full of lots of sweet loveliness. Massive anaw. My favourite has always been the triangular scones.... soda traecle fruit and plain. I have eaten these for 40 years.... still as good as ever.

Doesn't have a great range but everything I've tried has been nice. Pies, bridies are very good and the tattie scones are giant. You'll probably have to try and source ostrich eggs to go with them.

Its not as good as when Betty and her husband ran it back in the 70s and 80s when they done the best brides and pies in Scotland they had trays of them going out every Friday afternoon.they came from every where in Glasgow to get a pie & bridie now its a small piece of meat and the rest is some kind of pastry shame the boys didnt keep it going they would have made a fortune

Popped in this morning got rhubarb pie thay were the dogs b-licks, apple slice was massive enjoyed them both be back , thats my first time in grants in about 15 years
