Super super bad accommodation and bad service have been moving out from there and found someone to take over my contract for more than three months but still havent received refund of the advance payments of 8 weeks rent that I was required to pay (its more than 1000 and the manager - Karen Topping promised me that I would receive the payment in 30 days after moving out from there) Tried to email and call them for million times, and its either that theyre not picking the phones up or the receptionist being rude to me and asked me to patiently wait for the refund! Plus the manager and the rest of the officers are now no longer replying my email! Dont choose this accommodation if you have any other better options!

Find somewhere worth your money, there's better accommodations for the same price or even cheaper. Stayed here last year and it was the worst experience. I loved the security staff were so friendly on site, and always ready to help. However the reception staff were extremely rude. When going down during hours for help they were extremely rude and dismissive. Would carry on unimportant conversations with other staff ignoring you until they finished their chats. They would only let certain people back in the building after an alarm and the rest of us had to wait for another hour?? The fire alarm would go off every week in the middle of the night and the pipes would keep bursting, thus leading to the alarms every week. There were no facilities like mops, kettle etc, especially for the price paid. The water was always being stopped or was contaminated and don't get me started on the extractor that randomly goes off at night. It's been over a year and I've tried contacting so many times for my deposit to be returned with no reply. They owe me my deposit and the extra money I paid. The place is clean and close to Strathclyde but honestly not worth the hassle and pain of staying there. They don't respond to important communication regarding your payments or needs and it's extremely disorganised.

I have been in UK science 2016 and I lived in different places, but Collegelands was the worst nightmare I had ever experienced. Despite that the place doesnt worth the amount of rent we paid, the reception team were very rude and racists. Me and my flatmate were threatened several times and onc time they entered my flatmate room while here cousin is with her and kicked the girl out not even in a polite way . They treated us as if we dont own the flat/ room and pay to get some privacy. They even intervene in the way you put your stuff inside your room . Even if its the last option you have, never go there

Lived here through 2021-2022 Accidently overpaid in rent by over 200, still haven't received a reimbursement even though I moved out 8 months ago. I ask for updates and get ignored through emails, starting to think I won't ever see my money back. During the summer exam season maintenance was scheduled throughout the building, some workers even came into my flat while I was doing an exam. The constant hammering/drilling made it very difficult to study and left a lot of people really frustrated. There was numerous times the building would flood due to burst pipes (wouldn't recommend staying on the bottom floor), and a fire alarm would wake you up at night pretty often Some positives - room was clean, staff were kind and the location is good

Stayed there for a year and it was a delightful stay. There were a few ups and downs to due to technical issues but overall great to experience. It is a large accom and you can meet and interact with lots of people and international students. The maintenance was also taken care of timely when requested for and the reception staff was very friendly too.
