Mackie Pharmacy Giffnock

Very good experience with this pharmacy. I was low in diabetic supplies. Mackie had the supplies in stock and agreed to lay them aside for collection. Other pharmacies refused to do that so, in my view, Mackie are ahead of the game!

Mackie's were one of the unsung heroes of the pandemic. Kind and friendly staff were always there with advice and support throughout these dark days of lockdown. And still are! Many thanks to you all.

Deeply disappointed when visiting the Giffnock branch as I had recently moved to the area. I arrived to collect my prescription for however I had been given orodispersable tablets which make me violently ill. I asked if this could be changed to receive an adamant "No we can't do that" an issue which could have been solved with a simple phone call to my doctor which other pharmacies have accommodated in the past. I was instead left with no medication for my condition, having a panic attack and dealing with the horrendous withdrawal symptoms for 3 days while waiting for a replacement prescription. Rather than helping to find a solution this pharmacy chose to leave me to suffer, considering the public are encouraged to depend on our local pharmacy for minor ailments it is disheartening when a callous disregard for customer care and a lack of compassion is the response. Furthermore I have requested the formal complaints procedure from Mackies Pharmacy only to receive no response.
