Every 6 months I visit Fenwick rd black and lizars and see Dr Gupta who is a saint.Ive got a lifetime phobia of any one near my eyes.but he is very calm and makes things easy

Good Optician but I have recently had an issue with them. My glasses arm is close to falling off and I keep repeatedly phoning them to ask how much it would cost to repair it before it falls off for them to decline the call or even pick up the phone and immediately hang up. I tried also to go in person and they refused to see me since its appointment only due to COVID-19. I just want to enquire about the cost of an arm repair and they have made things so much more difficult than it has to be. I have been going to this optician for almost 12 years and there has been a massive decline in customer service since this pandemic has begun. Seriously considering switching opticians due to this bad experience. As most folk with glasses will know, there is nothing more annoying than having the arm of your daily spectacles falling off and for one not to be able to see properly until such a time as they were fixed. Additionally, myself being a student; cost is very important to me since I am constantly living on a budget and by not being able to know how much the cost of repair is is really irritating. Not happy. Otherwise, this optician is great, as I previously said, I have been coming here for 12 years and its only the recent difficulty with customer service and getting in contact that has really wound me up.
