What an absolute gem of a find Woodlyn Guest House is! Spent a wonderful 2 nights there whilst attending a wedding nearby. Our family took over 4 of the rooms and it really felt like a home-away-from home. No slippers required going in between the rooms and the comfy lounge on the wonderfully soft carpets. All rooms were absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean and with everything thought of to the last detail. Breakfast was just superb with quality ingredients and service with a smile :) Some of us had a wee sleep in after the busy Saturday wedding day and the packed croissants and spread etc. were very much appreciated on the long drive back home. Thank you! Kev and Nikki are the most amazing, caring and thoughtful hosts. Highly recommend this wee gem and hope to be back again.

Just arrived home from a 3 night stay. We were allocated The Willow room which was absolutely gorgeous. A very large spacious room decorated to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. The room has a wardrobe, a dresser and 2 bedside cabinets, so plenty of space for all our belongings. The dresser even included a hairdryer and heat mat (for straighteners/tongs etc). There was a great selection of teas and coffee (as well as hot chocolate and bottled water) set out on a tray with a kettle and cups and glasses. I'm a bit fussy with milk so asked for fresh milk and it was no bother for Kev and he left me some in the fridge in the breakfast room for me to have when we got in. There is a wide selection of great quality toiletries in the bathroom as well as beautifully soft fresh clean towels. I can honestly say that the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in and the bedding was lovely and soft. Breakfast was absolutely superb. Great choice of cereal, juice, yoghurt, jams, honey and fresh croissants. Also a cooked breakfast which included eggs, bacon, link sausage, square sausage, haggis, tattie scone, mushrooms, hash brown, tomato and toast with a choice of hot drinks. All cooked to perfection. There is also a comfortable louge area with a sofa and chairs just across from the breakfast room for guests to use. Kevin & Nikki try so hard to provide a positive customer experience and it not only shows but they achieve it tenfold. They go out of their way to make your stay exceptional.
