This was the best experience! Thanks to the young man serving us, we were able to make connections to fulfill my 93 yo mother-in-law's dream of being in the church where her great grandmother was married in 1878 before emigrating to the US and raising a family in Ohio. It was a first trip to Scotland for all of us. The day in Galston was perfection.

I was in here on 17 January 2023 for some coffee and some soup. The lentil soup was amongst the best I've had for a long time, maybe a bit thick for some people's liking certainly tasty. I wasn't sure if the coffee to begin with, it was very strong, but I soon got used to the taste and enjoyed a lovely cappuccino. It's not the biggest shop, however they have another premises in the nearby Balmoral Mill Shop, and I think I'm correct in saying that they have outdoor seating, although probably not a good idea to use that in January in Scotland. All round, I enjoyed my visit here and will be back again.
