        Feel sorry for the town of Galashiels. The superstore ha sucked all the business out of the little shops and now a hollow and souless town. Its got good restuarants . . And a great ice cream shop, but with the mills gone, and the infrostructure all changed, one way systems, parking meters etc. Nobody stops for long to browse.

        Trains running every hour to Edinburgh and on time. Made for a pleasant trip to the capital whilst in the area.

        Small train that runs from Tweedbank to Edinburgh Waverley. The train runs every hour and some hours are extremely busy whilst others are almost empty. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The train is often a bit dirty which isnt ideal. But for the most part, its a lovely trip into the city. I always sit on the left side of the train when heading to Edinburgh. The views are 10/10
