The Waverley Care Home is divided into two facilities. One part for permanent residents and the other for transitional care for reablement. The staff are welcoming. Facilities in the transitional care unit are somewhat sparce. There is no TV in residents rooms, no stimulation/activities. Not at all what you would expect from a 21st century residential home. The care home is under resourced. Frequently operating on less than 50% staffing levels resulting in a poor level of care. Some systems e.g. managing medication are inadequate. The recent Care Inspectorate report graded this care home as 'adequate' This is an example of health and social care integration failing to be person centred and failing to consider patients needs and best outcomes.
