        Not the best. Small opticians. staff all seem a bit clueless with the stupid paper notes that they still use. Training needed. Appointments cancelled, items forgotten or incorrect. Changed opticians because not a good experience.

        Another Boots branch (in Fife) issued me with the wrong prescription in my glasses! After 2 months I went to the Galashiels branch as i had recently moved to the Borders and spoke with the then manager Wendy. Wendy was very helpful, i seen the optician Ross who i was very impressed with, he was very thorough and professional and i felt i was in good hands. Wendy called the Fife branch and arranged for me to have my glasses & sunglasses changed to the correct prescription at no extra cost. Because of the service i received, i bought a new pair of reading glasses from them too. I have learned that since then, Wendy is no longer there, which is a great pity as i have recommended Boots Galashiels due to her & Ross & the good service i received from them both. As long as Ross is there when my next test is due i will be returning.
