Friendly reception staff and great doctors.

I moved to Galashiels 22 years ago and registered with this practise, at that time it was great and I had a lovely caring professional doctor for nearly 20 years then he retired. Unfortunately since the new doctors came everything changed not for the better. One doctor is very good and the rest are cold and uncaring. One of the practise nurses is also very rude and unprofessional. On one particular occasion I sat for over half an hour as a walk in with chronic asthma, I was later hospitalised, it wasnt until the receptionist saw me that she realised how ill I was. I had to drive to the hospital myself then walk across a field to get to the hospital it was awfull. I had to laugh as I now received a letter today telling me to register with another practise as Ive moved to Selkirk, it said please dont ask for reconsideration. I had been thinking of registering alsewhere anyway. Over the winter during the Xmas period I had Covid, I found the NHS24 very helpfull and the doctor asked me if I wanted to come in but I said no I would manage at home. I found their service excellent, I had previously been thinking of writing to the practise to give them my thoughts over the years, I have worked in the Health care system for 50 years and got up as far as Matron. All I can say is when any of them get to my age and hopefully they will, I hope they are treated better. And also if Im ever ill again Im glad I dont need to rely on them.

This is the friendliest and best doctors practice you vould ever ask for. All the doctors are great and the Office Staff are great couldnt ask for a better health centre. Thank you so much all of you.
