The track area is lots of fun. There is an outer "track" accessible before opening the gate to gain access to the actual running track, where people of any age can experiment with learning new wheeled sports on a semi-flat area. The track inside the gate is designed to be low impact for runners, potentially limiting injury to joints. There are six lanes, providing ample space for training with friends. At the centre of the track, there is a football pitch and a small spectator area for watching matches. The whole installation has floodlights to make running in the winter months when it gets dark early possible and enjoyable. The floodlights dontribute to light pollution, which blots out the stars a little more.
