The member of staff (Rachel) was lovely and helpful and really put everyone at ease (even if we were beginners). The only downsides are that the card machines sometimes don't work so maybe bring cash and the place is a little hard to find so just look for somewhere just beyond the hotel.

Staff were very accommodating despite how busy it was. They said that the Rowardennan site for Loch Lomond Leisure has less equipment than the others but also tends to be less busy, I'd recommend booking ahead but if not possible they are very helpful. Absolutely stunning scenery on part of the lake that is much quieter than Balloch. The road up there is a bit tricky in peak season though.

In Scotland for a holiday, and decided to go kayaking. Kayaking was great and staff very helpful and supportive of the activity itself. They were eager and happy to have our dog involved too which was great. However the car parking experience was terrible, leading to a Parking Charge Notice, and something to watch out for. >> FAQ's suggest parking in car park adjacent to hotel (Luss is pay and display, whereas Rowardennan says just car park adjacent hotel) >> can only access Loch Lomond Leisure through the hotel entrance, forced to pass into the car park >> area around Loch Lomond Leisure is staff only, again forcing to car park >> The parking is actually run by a private company >> Parking meters take coins only, and we actively tried to exchange notes for coins but no business within the compound, including Loch Lomond Leisure would do so >> Found car parking around the corner in the Ben Lomond car park (not suggested to us) and paid the parking fee via card payment, as should be available at the private car park >> This made us late to our kayaking session, but we thought we had done what we could, paying for parking. >> 15 days later, Parking Charge Notice of 60 from the private car park was sent to me despite being there only temporarily while determining solutions. Even though appeals are an option, this puts me in a tough position as aren't guaranteed to be accepted >> More clarity is needed prior to arriving at this remote place, either stating the meter is coins only or next nearest car park is Ben Lomond in FAQs as we drove over 1 hour to be there, with no phone reception at site, or signposts to car park around corner >> After reading Rowardennan hotel reviews (relevant as recommended to use their car park), turns out this Parking Charge Notice is very common Hopefully no one else gets caught out.
