This was my 4th trip to Scotland and by far the absolute best experience ever. Our guide was wonderful. She knows every step on every trail we did and with her encouragement I was able to experience wonders I never dreamed of. Our accommodations were perfect. Everthing was absolutely beautiful. Guaranteed the best way to experience Scotland!

We loved our trek(West Highlands and Isle of Skye) led by WalkWildScotlands founder and principal, Antje Peters. We found the treks perfectly balanced in their level of challenge, diversity, and order of treks to account for weather changes, etc. Antje knows tons about Scottish history which we loved as we like to learn about the social history of where we hike and travel. The lodging was perfect, the meals available were delicious including the daily lunches. The only element which would be helpful to amplify is a more formalized pre-trip set of contacts to recommend pre and post trip hotels as well as the ensured delivery of the packing list. We have trekked before so we knew what to bring. It is challenging to manage the business detail side while out leading hikes so we understand! All-in-all, we loved this trip and would love to travel with WWS and Antje again!!!

Walk Wild Scotland provides a unique and wonderful holiday experience! My husband and I have done two trips with Walk Wild and we will return for more in the future. Our first trip with Walk Wild was in 2019 and we went to Skye and Western Highlands. Just recently in 2022 we traveled to the Outer Hebrides. Both trips were brilliant! The tour descriptions were spot on - you really do go off the beaten track, the hikes were challenging for me but never more than I could handle and I felt very accomplished especially after our glorious day hiking in the Quiraing in 2019 and to Hushisnish Beach on Harris where I even managed an envigorating ocean dip. The trip to Lewis, Harris and North and South Uist was wonderful. The itinerary involved a lot more travel but each day we did walks and saw incredible history and culture. Then days are always action packed and fulfilling. Walk Wild is seamless in that it all seems so easy and Antje can pivot based on weather changes, desires and interests of the group - our recent trip had a couple of avid bird watchers and we all benefited from what we observed and saw with them. We were well prepared for our experience - we are given packing lists (pay attention as it is all well thought out and necessary). The hotels we stayed in on both trips were all extremely comfortable, not luxurious, but ideal and always provided delicious meals - full Scottish in the morning if desired or alternatively yummy porridge and fruits, fresh bakery items etc. Lunches provided on the hikes are great and there were always plenty of fruits and treats. Evening meals were varied and sometimes offered hearty pub fare and at others delicious cuisine - both with high quality locally sourced ingredients and traditional Scottish dishes. The cost of the trips is extremely good value. Antje is a wonderful guide, professional, knowledgable, energetic and so much fun. She has an ability to make each member's experience a good one. Don't get me wrong, she does not pamper us, it isn't that kind of holiday, but she manages to always have a tea stop (with cake) just as motivation begins to lag and then everyone is reenergized for the next adventure. Another element of Walk Wild is the small group experience. Never more than 8 or 9 on each tour traveling in the comfy van. The trip is equally suited for singles, couples or groups of friends. Everyone shares an adventurous spirit, share meals together and by the end of the trip we have all gained new friendships and perspectives. My husband and I are experienced travelers and over the years have made our own travel itineraries and bookings, transportation arrangements and planned our activities. Before booking with Walk Wild we took a trip to the Western Highlands and Mull and I made the hotel bookings, ferry bookings etc. The holiday was enjoyable for me but truth be told we didn't experience out of the way hikes, and my husband who did all the driving (single track roads on Mull included) was not able to fully relax into the experience, enjoy the views and completely switch off. Isn't that the point of a holiday? Walk Wild Scotland really allows one to immerse in the joyful experience of being in nature surrounded by the incomparable beauty of Scotland.

This walking tour in the West Highlands and the Isle of Skye was exceptional and exceeded by far my expectations. Antje both excellent driver of a red VW bus and guide with a good sense of humour and a great knowledge of the countryside and its history took us on fantastic walks into astounding landscapes. Our small group of just 7 participants got along very well, we enjoyed our lunches together at well sought out places in the open air, sometimes a beach or a rock overlooking a loch and would talk about the day's highlights in the evening during dinner. We stayed at two small and very comfortable hotels lovely situated one overlooking Loch Duich and the other looking out on the Atlantic. Highly recommendable!
