Nevis Campers - Camper Van Hire

As with the other recent review, Nevis Campers looks to have ceased trading, and there has been no communication at all from them. I can understand financial difficulties, especially after Covid, and I can even understand their inability to pay refunds. But to have nothing at all to warn customers is useless service. Luckily I found out early, suspicious after their facebook profile disappeared and my emails went unanswered. Matt at least took my call when I rang his mobile, to confirm their difficulties. On to a difficult section 75 claim with American Express.

I cannot praise the customer service we received from Tanya and Matt enough. Reading one of the other reviews about how they had been treated by Matt was the total opposite of our experience. Both he and Tanya could not have been more helpful. Did we have a problem? Yes . Was it sorted out ASAP? Yes. Would we book with them again ? YES These things happen and it might impact on your plans but in the big scheme of things we just pull up our positive pants and think things could be worse. It all adds to the adventure. Well done Nevis Campers!!!

Beware, this company appears to not be trading. We paid this company 1140 pounds and they are no longer at the stated address (recorded mail was returned as recipient no long we at address) and they have not returned calls, texts, emails. Our rental starts Saturday and I doubt we will see our money or a campervan. We dont know where we are supposed to meet or anything! Some More things to bear in mind: social media presence has been partly removed (Facebook, to hide reviews of this sort of thing going on?); the limited company Nevis Campers Ltd has an active proposal to be struck off (so if you are in doubt about what I say, then bear this in mind!) and has missed mandatory disclosure deadlines with companies house. The registered office for the company appears to be for sale. If you have a booking, I would immediately try to make contact and try to get reassurance around your booking and return of moneys - good luck with that. This firm appears to have ceased trading but does not have the goodwill to tell people who have bookings. BEWARE!
