A family member purchased me a stay at Torlinnhe through a wowcher offer and I was a little apprehensive that I might be treated like a second class guest as a result but this couldn't have been further from the truth and I'm genuinely delighted with my time spent at Torlinnhe. Arrived at Torlinnhe on a Friday afternoon after driving from Edinburgh - what a wonderful place Mark and Larisa have created, right on the banks of Loch Linnhe. I was in for a treat in the Loch View room 1, which spoiled me for the size it was. The room has a huge double window looking onto the loch, a lovely set of comfy chairs and a little coffee table which came with free charcoal filtered water and a wee selection of homemade shortbread. My room (and every room as I understand it) had a charming and modern en-suite, which looked like it had been recently renovated and was immaculately clean. The shower is electric and powerful, much better than my home one! The room had a small desk against the wall opposite the window, which is my only small gripe with Torlinnhe - I'd come for a writing retreat kind of weekend, and wasn't able to write on the desk as I wanted to be able to look out at the view. However, Mark and Larisa couldn't have known this and actually, if I'd asked to move the furniture, I'm pretty sure they would have obliged as this is their vibe - they want you to enjoy Torlinnhe and have a great time, however that looks for you. They are kind, genuine and warm people who just make your stay that much better. The food at Torlinnhe is something in its own league. I dined with them for dinner on the first evening, and was blown away by the detail given - this was a dining experience rather than just dinner. The vegetable ratatouille was phenomenal, easily one of the best things I've tasted in my life - for real! Each breakfast was beautiful and sets you up lovely for the day, and there's plenty of choice; you get the continental breakfast as well as your menu choice, which is ordered the night before nice and easily. Free onsite parking was a big plus for me too. Top notch from Torlinnhe, I'll definitely be back when I'm returning to the area! Food & drinks: Top notch

(Translated by Google) Very very comfortable and large beds. I emphasize this because after 5 days it was the first accommodation where I slept through, otherwise we always had very small and uncomfortable beds. Very nice staff and the breakfast was exceptionally good. Fresh fruit, homemade berry compote and chia pudding. Thank you Guest House it was a great stay.
